Dr. Linda F. Cornelious

Dr. Linda F. CorneliousDr. Linda F. Cornelious is a Professor in the Department of Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development. She was named the 2003 Mississippi State University Outstanding Faculty Woman of the Year by the President’s Commission on the Status of Women. She served as the William Allen (Boeing Company) Endowed Chair and Distinguished Professor of Education at Seattle University.

Dr. Cornelious has been the recipient of the Phi Delta Kappa International Service Key and Bessie Gabbard Outstanding Leadership Award. Other honors include the PDK Outstanding Educator of the Year, the Kappa Award of Excellence for Leadership and Service to Mississippi Education, and PDK’s Outstanding University Faculty Awards for Teaching and Service. She has also received the COE Outstanding Award for Graduate Level Teaching, and the COE Alumni Association’s Outstanding Award for Leadership and Service.

Linda’s scholarly interest encompasses evaluation and measurement, instructional technology, educational leadership, faculty governance, multicultural education, and service learning. Linda states that “it is an honor and privilege to serve on the ALHP Advisory Board.” She sees this as another opportunity todo great things with those who dare to lead. She believes as Helen Keller who stated, “alone we can do little, together we can do much.”
